William Samuel “Sam” Robinson, age 93, of Pasadena Texas, passed away September 7th, 2024. He was born in Crystal Springs, Mississippi on January 4th, 1931, to Josie & Dicey Robinson. Sam was born and raised in Mississippi and after graduating high school, joined the United States Air Force serving for four years. He was stationed at Ellington Air Force base for 3 and ½ years and it was while he was stationed there, he met the love of his life, Bobbie Carroll. Sam and Bobbie were married 69 ½ years.
Sam had a career as draftsman in the petrochemical industry. He was a member of South Ave Baptist Church for 68 years, Archives Masonic Lodge #1399 AF & AM for 45 years, Archives Chapter #1095 Order of the Eastern Star. Sam also served as a Boy Scout Master for Troop 810.
He had a passion for nature, outdoor sports including boating, water skiing, and fishing. He loved visiting national parks with his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Bobbie Carroll Robinson, son, Kenneth L. Robinson, grandson Nathan J. Robinson and partner Robert Garate, and grandson Daniel Robinson. Sister-in-law Diane Carroll Woods and husband Russell, and mother to his grandsons’ Shirley DiBello Robinson. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and friends.

A visitation for Sam will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Celebration of Sam's life beginning at 11:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Immediately following, he will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
