William Cowan Walker (Bill) went to meet his Lord and Savior in the early hours of Monday February 6 2023.
Bill was born in Wolf Creek Tennessee to Nell Allan and William Walker on June 20,1926.
After attending public schools in Cocke County Tennessee, he volunteered to serve his country.
In 1944 he became a member of the United States Army Air Corps. He terminated his service with an honorable discharge as a Private First Class.
At his return, he attended the University of Tennessee where he finished his studies and earned a Master Degree in Civil Engineering. Later he became a member of the United States Army Air Corps of Engineers.
He traveled extensively all over the world while working for Foster Wheeler.
A long-time resident of Deer Park, in 1966 he founded Comex Corporation, a General Contracting firm and he served as President until his retirement in 2004. He and his wife Angie moved to Pasadena in 2000.
Bill was adventurous and enjoyed traveling and taking road trips, was interested in finance, politics other cultures and their cuisine, he was an avid golfer and in his last years he took walks around the neighborhood with Bucky his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ward and Heidi Dunner Walker, the mother of his children.
He is survived by his spouse Angela Bruno Walker, his daughter Gigi Clayton and her husband Robert of Huntsville, son David A. Walker and his wife Sherri of Deer Park, grandchildren; David Clayton and his wife Avery of Dallas, Mary Clayton Newkirk and her husband Paul of Austin, Heidi McNeely and her husband Jason of Deer Park, Holli Walker of Houston. Great grandchildren; Hazel Clayton and Miles McNeely Sister-in-law Betty Walker and nephew Albert Walker of Wolf Creek Tennessee. Nephew Jim Walker and his wife Julie of Galveston, niece Beth Sams and her husband Sammy of Kingston Tennessee, other relatives and friends.
His wife and his children are standing together in faith and the knowledge that they will reunite with Bill in eternity.
They also want to extend their gratitude to Dr. George Nassif, Dr Vince Nguyen, Dr Selvin Sudhakar, Dr M. Khan, nurse Heather Delgado, Kindred hospital and Magnolia Crossings skilled nursing facility for the compassion and care given to Bill during his last days.
