On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Zachary Dhaemers passed away at HCA Houston Hospital Southeast in Pasadena, TX. Zachary was born June 21, 2000 in Amarillo, TX to his mother, Christi McCuan and father, Aaron Dhaemers.
Zachary grew up with a passion for sports. He loved to play football and basketball with his family and friends. He was always in the know about the newest stats, players, and drafts. He loved the Texans and Rockets but followed all of the teams. Along with sports, he also loved shopping and the latest drops of Nikes and Jordans
Zachary was a Christian, receiving the Holy Ghost as a young child and was baptized. He had a great love for God, and loved his church home, Life Church. He loved reading and studying his bible and sharing the love of God with others.
Zachary is survived by his Mother Christi Matney, and Stepfather Michael Matney. Father- Aaron Dhaemers, and Stepmother- Bernadeth Dhaemers. Brother- Caleb Dhaemers. Great Grandma- Betty Brown. Grandparents- Larry and Vickie McCuan. Uncle and Aunt- David S. McCuan and wife Destiny. Cousins – Eva and Leah McCuan. Great Grandma- Lorraine Rye. Grandparents- Robert and Diane Dhaemers. Uncle- Shane Dhaemers. Aunts- Kari Dhaemers, Crystal Dhaemers, Marie Dhaemers. Cousins- Kylee, Kayden, Kenton, and Kolton. And a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by Great Grandpa- Len Brown. Great Grandad- David McCuan. Great Grandmother- Donna Ward. Brother- Jonathan Dhaemers
Zachary's life was centered around a desire to make others laugh and make all feel loved. He was very sweet, he truly cared for everyone and put others before himself. He always had a big smile and made people feel like he was their best friend. Zachary was much loved by his family and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
A visitation for Zachary will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
