He also was active at St. Michael’s Catholic Church serving as an usher and greeter for many years. He enjoyed being a member of the Lakeside Country Club for over 50 years. He was president of the country club for 2 years, a member of their Borad of Directors for 2 terms, and chairman of the House Committee for many years.
