Bud, a 1976 graduate of Penn Yan Academy, was the owner operator of his family's business Martin Tones Garage, where he had been employed since the age of 12. He was an expert at antique automobile restorations and was a specialist in steam engines, diesel engines and all other mechanical engines. Bud brought his enthusiasm for antiques to the community by sharing his collection with friends and strangers alike. Bud had a variety of pets and plants that flourished under his care. He always had a smile and would make the time for anyone in need. Bud loved to travel to warmer climates, and loved meeting new people.
Bud is survived by his father Martin A. Tones; sister Grace (Dean) Knapton; nephew Kyle (Rachel) Knapton, cousins Lorie (Richard) Enos and cousin Debbie (David) Randall. Bud was predeceased by his mother Patricia I. Tones.
A celebration of life for Bud will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at PennYan Moose Lodge, 301 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY.
