Betty Catherine Beck

Betty Catherine Beck, 84 of Austin, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013. Betty was born February 6, 1929 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where she would eventually work for twenty-seven years. While in Baltimore, Betty enjoyed shopping, gardening, and taking care of her pets. However, her favorite activity was spending time with family and watching the growth of her granddaughters, Dawn and Tara, and her great-granddaughter Bella.

Following the passing of her beloved son, Michael, Betty moved to Texas to be closer to her daughter. In Austin, she lived at the Pavilion Assisted Living Residence where she enjoyed bingo, music and other planned activities.

Betty will be greatly missed by her family including her daughter Donna Neitzel and son-in-law, Lee; grandsons Alex Neitzel and Sam Neitzel; granddaughters Dawn Coughlin and Tara Kudrick; daughter-in-law Joanne Beck; and great-granddaughter Bella Kudrick.

A visitation service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home located at 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660 (512-251-4118).

Betty’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and residents of the Pavilion and the Park Bend Health and Rehab Center for their exceptional kindness and care.
