Mrs. Russell was raised in Manor and the Austin area. She graduated from Austin HS and worked in Austin most of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Ms. Lawn Ya E Hodge, her son, Mr. Ryan Comet Russell and her grandsons Makel T. Ervin, Ryan (RJ) Russell and Asher Russell. Her sisters & brothers Mrs. Shirley Gordon, Ellis Ray Thomas, Janice Mitchell (Monroe), Barbara Wright (Gregory), William E Thomas & Larry Thomas (Angela), her many Nieces, Nephews, God-Children and her best friend Mrs. Shirley Simms and In-Laws Edna Thomas, Jean Thomas and Jennifer Thomas. She was preceded in death by her father, William (Sonny Boy) Thomas, her mother, Violet A Thomas, & her brothers Sherman (Bubba) Thomas and John (Johnny) Thomas.
Debra (a.k.a Dimple or Dimp) loved to garden, BBQ and test taste her daughter Lawn Ya’s desserts, she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. She loved finding deals at the stores and remembered everyone’s birthdays.
