Doris was born on October 20, 1943, in Austin, Texas, to the late Dan and Irene Pyburn. She was surrounded by their love and care throughout their lives and remained devoted to the values instilled in her by her family.
Doris possessed a joyful spirit and found great pleasure in life’s simple blessings. She loved listening to music, especially the song “Kung Fu Fighting,” playing bingo, creating jewelry, dining at various restaurants, dancing, attending church, and participating in social and community activities. She also delighted in her favorite treats, including Moon Pies, Cheetos, donuts, and Coca-Cola. Her favorite meals included fried fish, macaroni and cheese, and green beans.
Above all, Doris loved Jesus and cherished her time in church. Her faith was a meaningful part of her life and provided her with comfort, strength, and joy.
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dan and Irene Pyburn; daughter Dorothy Jean Revada, son Leland James Revada, her brothers, Dan Martin Pyburn Jr. and Ollie Pyburn; and her sisters, Louise Thompson, Earline Robertson, and Pearlie Mae White.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories of her sisters, Pauline Morris and Shirley Brown, son Jimmy as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Doris will be lovingly remembered for her joyful personality, her appreciation for music and fellowship, and the happiness she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. Although she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord.

Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026. A graveside service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
