

On September 14, 1956 he and Maria Guadalupe “Lupe” Caballero were married and they were devoted to one another for 69 years.
Joe worked in construction and remodeling throughout his life. He served his country for 21 years in the Army National Guard. Joe also remained a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, both in the good times and the bad times.
Those left behind to cherish his memory and continue his legacy of love are his beloved wife, Lupe; his children, Mary, Veronica, Patricia (and her partner, Cindy), Joanna (and her partner, Jane), Christina, Joey, David (and his wife, Mel), and Chris (and his wife, Ashleigh); his grandchildren, Natalee (and her husband Josh), Stephanie, Melanie, Melissa, A.J., Hanna, Christian, Victoria (and her partner, Sophia), and Hendrix; and his great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Gracie and Tomas; and his siblings, Richard (and partner, Mary), Lorraine, Terry, and Alice “Lulu” (and her husband Freddie.)
A memorial gathering of family and friends for Joe will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, followed by a memorial rosary prayer service with reception to follow from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
