John Frank Rendon Jr.

 JOHN FRANK RENDON “Dedy”, was united with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2026 in Pflugerville, Texas at the age of 84. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, daughters and loving family. He was born on November 12, 1941 in Port Lavaca, Texas and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family and a generous spirit that touched all who knew him.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine and Matilde Llanes; his father John Frank Rendon Sr.; his brothers Gilbert Soltermack and Rudy Llanes.

He is survived by his wife Anita Rendon; his children, Linda and Danny Abila, Gloria Rock, Gina Rendon Duran and Leonardo Ibanez, Sylvia and Jesse Juarez. Step-daughters Mary Ann Rheiner, Joann Pena, Lupe Buff and Tricia Strength. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Sandra Jefferson, Cindy Roehricht, Veronica Reyes, Danny Frank Abila Jr., Adam Rock, Angelica Rivera, Brianna Duran, Adrianna Duran, Daniel John Duran, Leonardo Ibanez Jr., Abel Arroyo, Johnny Rogelio, Beverly Rogelio. and numerous great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his sisters, Linda and John Gonzalez of Sweeney, Texas; Josie Llanes of Port Lavaca, Texas; his brothers, Daniel and Bunny of Haysville, KS; Matilde “Pete Jr.” and Gloria Llanes of Warren, Ark.; Richard Llanes of Sweeney, Texas.

John dedicated himself to our country by joining the United States Air Force in 1966 and served 20 years. He was proud of his service and proudly wore his Vietnam Veteran cap every where he went. Those who knew John will remember his easy smile, his presence and the way he made others feel welcome. He enjoyed being at home watching western movies, drinking his coffee and eating pan dulce. He loved watching football and taking trips to Winstar Casino. He loved having company over and treating family to lunches and dinners at his favorite restaurants. These simple joys were among the greatest pleasures of his life.

Dedy you will be forever missed, you may be gone from our sights but never forgotten from our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, US, on July 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location at 2:00 PM. A burial and Military Honors will follow at the adjoining cemetery.
