Mrs. Myrtle Moten Moore was born October 22, 1922 in Austin, Texas to Issac Moten and Gussie Johnson Williams. She attended Austin Public Schools and graduated from L. C. Anderson High School and was an alumni of Huston Tillotson.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a small amount of her time was spent indulging in one of her passions as an agent in the life insurance industry. She also enjoyed working to help others as a member of the Daughters of Grant and the E.B. Scott Women’s Missionary Society of Grant A.M.E. Worship Center. Helping others was a passionate driving force in her life.
Mrs. Moore slipped away peacefully September 13, 2012. She was married to the late Willie Steward Pryor Sr. and to the union four children were born, Willie Steward Pryor Jr., Janice Marie Bradshaw, (Clarence) Janie Mae McCullough, (Clifford) and Wilretta Pryor Collins, (Robert).
Mrs. Moore married James L. Moore, and he was a God-sent help mate to her and her children.
