Born on April 6, 1929 in Austin, Texas, Bob was the son of the late E.T. and Dorothy (Brown) Morris. He played varsity football for Austin H.S., and went on to play ball for Texas Tech; later for the Army. He moved to Midland in '57, and became partner of HMH Operators in '64 until closing the office in '11. Bob served his community and Church of St. Nicholas and later, Christ Church Midland. He was well loved and true of heart. Bob was a cowboy and an oil man. He was a patriot and decedent of one of our founding fathers. Most of all, he was a loved father and grandfather, a charmer, conversationalist and truly a gem of an individual around guests at the dinner table. He will be sorely missed.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Texas, where Bob will be interred beside his parents. A memorial service will be held in Midland, Texas at a time to be decided.
