Sherrie was born on October 21, 1939, to parents W.J. “Jimmy” and Wilma “Dorris” Hauschild in Victoria, TX. After graduating from Patti Welder High School, Sherrie started working at First Victoria National Bank. She stayed in banking for most of her career and then went on to work in insurance and for the City of Round Rock, where she retired from.
Sherrie will be remembered for her strength, generosity and great sense of humor. She dedicated her life to her family, always there with a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. Sherrie was passionate about music (especially Elvis), old western movies, the Longhorns, and animals of all kinds; in her more active years, she took up golf so she could spend more time with her husband, John.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John.
She is survived by her siblings, Linda Hauschild Loyd and W.J. “Bubba” Hauschild; her two children, Shea (Todd) Redmond and Jason (Victoria) Fisher; her grandchildren, Emery Redmond, Jack Redmond, Kai (Mark) Wallace, Bodie Fisher, Matthew McKnabb; and her two great-granddaughters, May & Nora Wallace. Her family will forever carry her love in their hearts.
A celebration of Sherrie's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
