Tamara Ann Connor, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, and friend, was born on August 22, 1969, in the warm and welcoming community of Richmond, Kentucky. She was escorted by the angels into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 25, 2026, at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital in Round Rock, Texas.
Tamara, the beloved daughter of Beverly Ann Schearer and Roger L. Wilson, grew up in a loving family that nurtured her compassion, kindness, and steadfast faith. She shared a special bond with her grandparents, Harnie and Hattie Wilson and Az and Hugh Shearer, who preceded her in death but had a lasting influence on her life.
Tamara's life was a tapestry of love, service, and dedication. She graduated from Leander High School in 1987 and pursued further education at Austin Community College. She enjoyed teaching pre-kindergarten at Hilltop Christian School. Her career was defined by excellence and commitment, particularly during her time at Dell Computer Corporation and HEB Grocers, where she was recognized for her outstanding customer service.
Before marrying Terry, Tamara was married to Grady Wallace, Jr. and they had a son, Christian Wallace, who died in childbirth, cherished forever in their hearts. Later she married Ron Taylor and together they had three wonderful children: Megan, Kaitlyn, and Zachary Taylor. In October of 2021, Tamara found her soulmate in Terrance Mathew Connor, whom she lovingly referred to as Terry. Their union was a testament to enduring love and shared dreams. They embraced Tamara's battle with cancer with faith, love, commitment, and share an eternal hope of an eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ, their Savior.
Tamara's heart was as warm as her voice, which resonated with the sweet, rich tones of an angel. Through the years she shared her gift of song with the choir and congregation, singing with an anointing that inspired many. Her faith was her guiding light, and she extended God's love through her volunteer work at the Hill Country Reveal Resource Center and The Church at The Ranch (Mariposa) in Cedar Park. She and Terry have been serving together at Whitestone Church. They dearly love their pastor and wife, Tauren, and Lorna Wells, and have been embraced and supported by the pastoral staff and congregation in a marvelous way. Her journey has involved wonderful people who have loved and supported her just as she modeled the Love of Jesus throughout her life.
Those who knew Tamara speak of her as being beautiful inside and out. She was affectionately called “Smiles” by her husband, Terry, and Tamara, Tam and Tammy by her family and friends, embodying warmth, care, and acceptance. Her forgiving nature and loving spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Tamara's courage was unparalleled as she battled cancer with the heart of a warrior. Against all odds, she remained resilient, never giving up. Her journey was a testament to strength and grace in the face of adversity. The Lord has been her Source of Strength and has been faithful through the years.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Terry Connor, and her children Megan, Kaitlyn, and Zachary Taylor. She is survived by her loving parents, Beverly Ann May and Roger L. Wilson, her stepmother, Peggy L. Stark-Wilson, and her sisters; Nannette Scott and family, and Amy Guevara, and family. Tamara also had aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Her close friends, including Betty Elizabeth Strmiska, Christy Farless, Tami Culp, Susan Ledesma, Sara Price, Nilda Beach, Rhonda Lang, Stephanie Wilson-Baker, Kim Newton, Paige Olson, Rainee Herod, and Barbara Stathas were a cherished part of her extended family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff at Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital and Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care. The spiritual guidance from Pastor Tauren Wells, Pastor Lorna Wells, and Pastor Kevin Hull at Whitestone, along with the congregation's support, has been invaluable.
Special thanks are given to the Amberlin Management Team and residents, as well as friends who have offered immense support, including Steve and Sherry Rosenbaum, Kim and Shawn Newton, Linda and John Weber, Sharon and Larry Smith, Earl and Sarah Price, Tom and Diana Fogel, Larry Gess, Terry and Brandi Gray, and Roger and Peggy Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Whitestone Church to assist those in need of medical and financial support. Please do this in honor of Tamara's legacy of love and service. Her life was a profound testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience, all to the Glory of God, her Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, her eternal Savior. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she touched. Rest easy Tamara, all is well! Dance on the streets of gold! Sing with Heavenly Choir and save us a seat at The Table!
