Eddie B. Miller Sr. and Nellie Pearl “Merdis” Ross Miller.
Thomas was educated in the Terrell County School System and graduated from Terrell County High School in 1986. Immediately following his high school graduation, Thomas relocated from Dawson, Georgia, to Pflugerville, Texas, where he continued his education. He attended ITT Technical Institute in Austin, Texas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
In 1992, Thomas began what would become a long and distinguished career with Dell Technologies Corporation in Austin, Texas, where he served as a Global Testing Engineer.
While pursuing his higher education, Thomas also worked in the healthcare field as a caregiver and assistant for individuals with special needs.
Throughout his career with Dell, Thomas was recognized for his dedication, professionalism, and excellence. He received numerous awards, achievements, and certificates, including the
DAO FY08 Customer Experience Award, BFI Certificates of Achievement, Customer Experience Gold Awards, several Silver Team Awards, and Green Belt recognition, among many others.
From childhood, Thomas displayed a natural gift for music, much like his father. He played lead guitar and would occasionally share his musical gift in church. He also had an early fascination with electronics and technology. Family members often recalled that whenever Thomas received an electronic device, he would take it apart and put it back together simply for the joy of discovering how it worked. That childhood curiosity would ultimately become a defining part of his professional life.
Thomas was united in marriage to Jaqualine Elizabeth Jackson Miller, and to their union was born one son, Thomas Ezekiel Miller Jr. Although Thomas and Jaqualine later separated, they
remained devoted co-parents and close friends.
Thomas was born and raised in the Holiness-Pentecostal faith and confessed Christ at an early age. During his years in Texas, he attended Praise Tabernacle and St. James Baptist Church in
Austin and, from time to time, fellowshipped closely with Greater Peace Christian Church.
Thomas was a quiet and humble man, known for his radiant smile, gentle spirit, and witty sense of humor. His presence brought warmth to those around him, and his life will continue
to be remembered by the family and friends who loved him dearly. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie B. Miller Sr. and Nellie P. Miller; his oldest brother, Eddie B. Miller Jr.; his sister, Angelette Miller Amour; and his grandparents,
Alma Logan Ross, Jerimiah Kitchen, and Rossetta Johnson Holder.
He leaves to cherish his memory his former wife and close friend, Jaqualine Miller; his beloved son, Thomas Ezekiel Miller Jr.; his sisters, Elder Gloria Ross Carter (Minister Timothy),
Ella Jean Miller, Bobbie R. Miller Canada (Robert), and Vernessa A. Miller Jackson (Curtis); his brothers, Eugene Miller, his twin brother Dr. Timothy L. Miller Sr. (Dr. Pamela), and Michael
A. Miller (Genene); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, loved ones, and friends.
May the memory of Thomas Leon “Tom” Miller Sr. live forever in the hearts of those who loved him, and may his legacy endure until the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
