Vera was born in Brenham, TX to Erna Laura Schneider Wolf and Edwin John Wolf.
Vera graduated from Giddings High School and went on to have a successful career of 32 years of being an Administrative Assistant to several bank executives at Chase bank in Austin.
She enjoyed crafting, quilting and sewing. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years David Phillips, daughter Kelly Phillips Newell and her husband Robert Newell. Her grandsons Blaine Newell and Kyle Newell.
