Vy Hoang Dang

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vy Hoang Dang, a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us far too soon on June 19th, 2025. Born and raised in Austin TX on June 13, 1981, Vy embodied a spirit of selflessness and kindness that touched everyone he encountered.

Vy was the beloved son of Long Hoang Dang and Binh Tran Dang, and a cherished brother to Chuan Ngoc Dang (wife My Kim Tran), Chuong Hoang Dang, and Son Hoang Dang. He was a proud and loving uncle to Connor, Charlotte, and Audrey Dang- who were his heart and joy. In fact, all children in Vy's life, whether family or friends, were affectionately embraced as his own nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Vy will remember his gentle heart and joyful soul. He had a remarkable gift for making others feel valued, seen, and loved. A generous spirit, Vy never hesitated to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile. His presence lit up every room, and his laughter made gatherings unforgettable.

Vy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, cooking, and hosting barbeque get togethers. He also enjoyed shooting pool and going bowling with friends- always turning any outing in a moment to connect and create memories. But more than anything, Vy loved being surrounded by family and friends. He thrived on connection and made every moment meaningful.

A visitation for Vy will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A vigil service - rosary and mass will occur Friday, June 27, 2025 from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM at Holy Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church, 1107 E Yager Ln, Austin, TX 78753. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM, followed by a reception at the church.
