Wanda Colleen Glover-Smith

Wanda Colleen Glover-Smith, of Pflugerville, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on February 12, 1966, in Pontiac, Michigan, Wanda grew up in Austin, Texas, where she attended Crockett High School and graduated in 1983.

For 25 years, Wanda served as a mail carrier in Austin, endearing herself to customers with her genuine warmth and friendly conversations. She took great joy in meeting people along her route, forming meaningful relationships throughout her long career.

Outside of work, Wanda found joy in gardening, decorating, listening to music, and, most of all, spending time with her beloved family. She was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints, always cheering for her favorite teams. Wanda’s home was filled with love for her pets, both dogs and cats, who brought her much happiness.

Wanda was known for her strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her favorite saying, “Everything will work out,” was a testament to her optimistic spirit and her ability to encourage those around her. She always put her family first and was a source of love and support to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlesetta, and her father, Daniel Glover.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Horace Wayne Smith; her children, Kendra, Dewayne, and Chirstopher; her beloved grandchildren, Kianna, Carlinos, and Keylis; her sister, Jacqueline Glover and husband James White; and her great-grandchild, Milina.

Wanda Colleen Glover-Smith will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A Committal Service will follow at 11:00 am on September 11, 2026, at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
