Abel Mendez

He was married to his beloved wife, Estela, on November 6, 1971. Their shared passion for shopping and hunting for antiques made their life together truly special. Abel's devotion to his son, Richard, was unwavering. He took on the role of a loving father, guiding Richard through life's challenges, instilling in him the values of hard work, and offering him wisdom and care. Abel's affectionate and patient nature extended even to his four cherished chihuahua dogs: Baby, La Mama, Max, and Boy. His love for his family, both human and canine, was evident in his daily actions. May Abel Mendez's loving spirit and caring nature live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.

Survived by his wife, Estela Mendez; his son, Richard Mendez; his three siblings, Beatriz, Willie, and Adela, many more family and friends.

Abel is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Adela Mendez; his two sisters, Anita Doxey and Elioda Mittie.

A viewing will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm. Services will continue Wednesday, January 24, 2023, with a mass service at noon, followed by burial at 1pm at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.
