Antonio Florido Aranda

Antonio Florido Aranda, age 74, of Pharr, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025. A devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and Army veteran, Antonio leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, and unwavering love for his family.

Born to Carlos Aranda and Josefina Florido, Antonio dedicated much of his life to hard work and service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before beginning a long and fulfilling career at H-E-B, where he worked for 40 years until his retirement. Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Antonio had a deep passion for helping others and always made time for those in need.

Antonio was a family man in every sense. He is survived by his beloved sons: Michael Aranda (Danielle), Anthony Aranda, Christopher Aranda, and Andy Aranda (Jeniffer). He was a cherished grandfather to Jacqualyn, Joshua, Rachell, Victor, Greyson, and Camilla, and a proud great-grandfather to Juliana and Ethan. His family was the heart of his world, and he found immense joy in watching it grow across generations.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Otila Aranda, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories; his parents, Carlos and Josefina; and a group of beloved pets—Jack, Bud, Bella, Ginger, Jersey, and Cowboy—who were truly part of the family.

Antonio had a passion for traveling and found joy in discovering new places. Whether near or far, his travels were filled with stories and laughter. He was also a devoted animal lover whose compassion extended to every living being.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Antonio’s life during a visitation on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM, followed by a burial at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM.

Antonio’s legacy of love, service, and strength will live on in all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
