Benjamin Lopez was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Benjamin will be remembered as a very exceptional person. Benjamin worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Benjamin was blessed with three children, Rose, Benjamin Jr., and Stephanie. His pride and joy and an additional blessing for Benjamin was the gift of five grandchildren, Trinity, Anthony, Joalex, Jacob and Derek, with his first grandchild holding a special place in his heart.
Benjamin enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were working on his Camaro, fishing, having barbeques and doing woodwork. Every first of the month, it was known that Benjamin was going to spend time with his friends and in his spare time he like to travel with his treasured wife.
Simply stated, Benjamin was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Benjamin leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Benjamin Lopez Sr.
Benjamin is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Lopez; daughter Rose Lopez; son Benjamin Lopez Jr (Joana); and daughter Stephanie Lopez Hernandez (Alex); father Luz Lopez; brother Roy Lopez, sister Lupita Lopez and brother Raymond Lopez; grandchildren Trinity Lopez, Anthony Lopez, Joalex Hernandez, Jacob Lopez and Derek Hernandez, and extended family, Kaleb Wells and Vanessa Rose as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Benjamin was preceded in death by mother Estela Lopez.
A visitation for Benjamin will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pharr with interment to follow on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, Pharr.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Gracie and Jose Fernandez for a wonderful and awesome job for their support during this difficult time.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley of Pharr.
