Carlos Barrios, born on June 18, 1942, in Mexico, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 83. A resident of Edinburg, Texas, Carlos was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He was known for his adventurous spirit and hard-working nature, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Carlos was a thrill seeker at heart, always eager to explore new horizons. He traveled to many places, immersing himself in the beauty and diversity of the world. A farmer by trade, he found joy in the simple pleasures of country life on his ranch. He had a deep love for horse races and riding horses, embracing the freedom and excitement they offered.
Carlos is survived by his wife Maria Elena Marquez and his children: Carlos Barrios, Asiriha Barrios, Mirna Barrios, Mirta Barrios, and Rolando Barrios. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mirella Barrios and his first wife Maria Virginia Alvarez.
A memorial service will be held on November 3, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577.
