Carmen Rodriguez

Carmen Rodriguez, age 63, of McAllen, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, Carmen was the beloved daughter of the late Maria Ester Rodriguez and Juan Pablo Rodriguez. She spent her entire life in McAllen, where she built a life rooted in love, faith, and resilience.

Carmen is survived by her husband, John Savedra; her cherished daughter, Vanessa Torres, and son-in-law, Roy Torres; her step-daughter, Lissette Savedra; and her loving grandchildren, Carabella, Cowboy, and Riley Torres. She also leaves behind her brothers, Juan Pablo Rodriguez Jr., Daniee Rodriguez, and Antonio Rodriguez; her sister-in-law, Sonia Rodriguez; her nieces, Gianna Rodriguez, Alysha Rodriguez, and Felysha Rodriguez; and her nephews, Johnny Rodriguez and Nicolas Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria Ester and Juan Pablo Rodriguez, and her beloved brother, David Zacarathe Rock.

Carmen was known for her deep love of music, her unwavering support for her family, and her infectious joy for the simple pleasures in life like watching movies and enjoying her favorite meal from Church’s Chicken. Carmen was fearless and strong. She was a true fighter who faced every challenge with grace and determination. Her kindness, humor, and warmth touched all who knew her.

Carmen lived a good life, full of love, laughter, and strength. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Anne Catholic Church located at 801 E Juarez Ave, Pharr, TX. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 3611 N Taylor Road, Mission, TX 78573.
