

Carmen Sanchez of Pharr, Texas passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 83. Carmen was born on July 17, 1942, in McAllen, Texas. Carmen passed away in San Juan where she was cared for by her eldest niece Diana S. Flores with the support of her husband, Mario along with deeply loved friends and family.
Carmen was unable to graduate from high school; however, she learned to read and write and provide for herself and her loved ones.
Carmen was raised and taught in Catholicism. In her late 70’s she became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she believed to have finally found what she had longed searched for. The Truth.
Carmen is preceded in death by her father Guadalupe Sanchez, mother, Fransisca Meza Sanchez, brother Samuel Sanchez, and a beloved nephew Cesar Samuel Sanchez.
Carmen is survived by her beloved nephews and nieces: Diana S. Flores (Mario), Daniel Sanchez (Noemi), Linda S. Martinez (Marcos), Leroy Sanchez, Alma Sanchez (Adolfo) and Cecilia Sanchez.
Carmen had a deep love for bible truths and was very appreciative of Jesus’ sacrifice on her behalf. She was able to celebrate the Memorial of Jesus Christ on April 2. Carmen loved to cook and hopes to become a professional chef in the new system.
The family would like to thank our dear friends (you know who you are and we truly love you) who sacrificed their time to help care for her and her needs and for the care and compassion they showed not only for Carmen but our entire family. Our dear brothers and sisters were truly a brother in our time of need. Words cannot describe the gratitude we wish to share. The family is also very appreciative of Ms. Sylvia Brown (Nurse) and La Mission Pallative Care & Hospice. Ms. Sylvia went above and beyond to help the family care for Carmen. La Mission and their staff were also very attentive to the families’ needs. Thank You!!!!!
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr on Friday, April 10, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Memorial Talk at 1:30 PM with Burial at 3:00 PM.
