Cindy Zarate

Cindy Zarate was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt who brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her. She married the love of her life. Abel Zarate, on July 19, 2003, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Cindy had a passion for baking and ran a small business selling her delicious homemade cookies that everyone loved. She cherished spending time with her family and adored her seven nephews and one niece, who brought her endless happiness. Cindy also had a special love for animals, especially her six pugs and one pig, who were like family to her.

Her kindness, humor, and creativity touched the hearts of everyone she met, and her warm spirit will always be remembered.

She is survived by her loving Husband, Abel Zarate; her cherished Son, Ricardo "Ricky" Zarate; her Sisters, Nancy Ayala Calderon (Francisco Calderon), Marissa Martinez (Rene Martinez); her Brother, Juan M. Ayala (Janel Crum Ayala); and her devoted Parents, Juan M Ayala and Virginia Maricela Ayala. She is also survived by her beloved nephews, Frankie Calderon, Orlando Ayala, Alfredo Calderon, Anthony Ayala, Daniel Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Diego Calderon; and her niece, Linda Martinez (her "Beauty").

On her Husband's side, Cindy is survived by her Mother-in-Law, Sylvia Olivia Zarate, and her Brother-in-Law, Gerardo Zarate (Samantha Zarate), along with his children, Daughter Aysia Zarate and Sons Mikey Zarate and Mason Martinez. She is preceded in death by her Father-in-Law, Salvador Zarate, and her Brother-in-Law, Daniel Salvador Zarate.

Cindy will be remembered for her generous heart, contagious laughter, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her presence brought light and comfort to many, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577, on November 6, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2201 Martin Ave, McAllen, TX 78504, on November 7, 2025, at 11:30 am. Following the mass, Cindy will be laid to rest at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577, with the burial service commencing at 1:00 pm.
