

Daniel G. de la Rosa, age 74, was born on July 21, 1951, in Pharr, Texas, and passed away on April 8, 2026. He was a compassionate, hardworking, kind-hearted, and thoughtful man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Daniel made his home in Edinburg, Texas.
Daniel was a caring and loving partner, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He found joy in the simple moments of life and cherished the time he spent with his loved ones. He was very active and had a passion for his car collection, always taking pride in each vehicle.
Daniel loved shopping alongside Maria and enjoyed dining at his favorite spot, Denny’s.
A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he rarely missed a game. Thanksgiving was especially dear to his heart, as it brought family together, and he was known for always arriving early to every celebration, eager to spend as much time as possible with those he loved.
He is survived by his two daughters, Aimee Dee (Angel) Luna, Herlinda (Robert) Villarreal; his beloved partner of 30 years, Maria Carmen Gallegos; his four stepchildren, Jose Luis Galvan, Blanca Estela Galvan, Maria Isabel Galvan, Maria del Carmen Galvan; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Liandro Gutierrez, Antonio De La Rosa, Dolores Jones; numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577. A Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Catholic service will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas, at 1:00 p.m.
Funeral services are under Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
