Edgar Marcelo Espinoza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edgar Marcelo Espinoza, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Edgar passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 49. A resident of Alamo, Texas, he will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his kindness, and his joyful spirit.

Edgar is survived by his devoted wife, Esmeralda Espinoza, and their three daughters, Crystal, Clarissa, and Carolina Espinoza, who were his greatest pride and joy. He was a loving grandfather to Ariel Marcela Flores and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his soon-to-be granddaughter, Lyla Marcela Espinoza-Salas.

He is also survived by his mother, Martha Caballero, and his siblings, Francisco Espinoza, Petra Montes, Gloria Becerra, and Ricardo Martinez, who will forever cherish his memory.

Edgar was preceded in death by his father, Marcelo Espinoza, his grandparents, Maria Agustina Ibarra, Rogelio Caballero, and Susana, as well as his uncles, Rogelio Armando Caballero and Chuy.

Known for his strong work ethic, Edgar took great pride in his career as an electrician, a profession through which he touched the lives of many with his skill and dedication. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life such as watching football, drawing, listening to Vicente Fernández, and, above all, spending time with his family. His quick wit, love of storytelling, and infectious laughter brought light and warmth to every gathering.

A visitation to celebrate Edgar’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service at 6:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577.

Edgar will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the countless lives he touched.
