Pharr-Las Milpas, TX – Eliseo “Chito” Garcia 60, of Pharr-Las Milpas, Texas passed away June 6, 2021 as a result of a short battle with pancreatic cancer. His family was by his bedside when he drifted off to be with the Lord. He was the second born to Baldomero and Carmen Garcia of Pharr, Texas. Chito graduated from PSJA in 1980 and had recently retired after an illustrious 29 year career as a Fire Prevention Officer with the United States Fish and Wildlife Services.
Chito was proceeded in death by his parents Baldomero and Carmen Garcia and Father-In-Law Ignacio Puente.
Chito’s most proud achievements in life was marrying his wife Gaby “Chiquilla” Garcia who supported all his glory during the heydays and lovingly supported and cared for him till his last day. They were married for 30 years. Aside from his wife, Chito is also survived by a loving son Jose (Cindy), adoring grandchildren Kayleen, Kenneth, Jacobo and Ana. Siblings Eduardo (Sylvia) Garcia, Enedelia Garcia, Esteban (Rita) Garcia, Ernesto (Adriana) Garcia and Eliazar (Vikkie) Garcia, Mother-In-Law Julia Puente, Brother–in-Laws Jose (Leticia) Puente, Victor, Moises and Eliseo Puente, Sister-In-laws Vicky (Jose Luis) Pedroza and Julia (Gerardo) De Leon.
Pallbearers: His brothers Eduardo, Esteban, Eliazar, nephews Esteban Hernandez, Moises Garcia and Jonathan Puente.
Church Pallbearers are his “tree compadres”: Ricardo Perez, Artemio de la Fuente, Luis Cerda, Artemio Ramos, Jr., Juan Antonio Jasso and Miguel Olaguez.
Final Resting Place Pallbearers will be his “muchachos” as he dearly referred to them from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services: Mikael Lerma, Ismael Lerma, Rey Navarro, Juan Rodriguez, Eddie Plasencia and Noe Garza.
Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr, Texas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Mother Cabrini Parish in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas.
