Throughout her life, Esperanza carried herself with quiet strength and steady resolve, meeting each season with courage, patience, and grace. She was a loving and caring, -wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Born and raised in Pharr, Texas, she was a lifelong resident of the community she called home. She was deeply cherished by those who knew her and admired for her gentle manner, honesty, and the wisdom she shared through her words and actions.
Esperanza had a special love for children and devoted much of her life to caring for and helping raise her siblings and other family members. Her nurturing spirit and willingness to be there for those she loved reflected the generous heart she carried throughout her life. Family was deeply important to her, and she found joy in creating lasting memories with those closest to her.
Her faith was an important part of Esperanza’s life. She was a faithful member of the Baptist Church and found comfort, strength, and guidance in her relationship with God. She especially enjoyed reading her Bible, carrying its words of faith and hope with her throughout her life.
Esperanza also enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, especially gardening. She found happiness in spending time outside, caring for her plants, and appreciating the simple blessings found in nature. Her hardworking spirit, compassion, and dedication to her family were qualities that defined the way she lived each day.
Esperanza will be remembered with profound gratitude and love for the life she shared, the family she cared for, and the many lives she touched with her kindness and faith. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love, lessons, and cherished memories she leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Abraham Martinez, Sr.; her parents, siblings, and numerous family members.
She is survived by her beloved children, Anita Rodriguez, Abraham Martinez, Jr., Ester Urrea, Ramiro Martinez; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and family members.
Her visitation will be from 5 pm to 10 pm, with a 7 pm prayer on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Visitation will resume following morning at 9 am, with a religious ceremony at 11 am, on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
