Born and raised in San Juan, Texas, Francisco made Pharr his lifelong home, where he built a life grounded in family, hard work, and love. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was married for 50 years to his beloved wife, Elva Martinez.
Francisco is survived by his wife Elva; his son Christopher Martinez and daughter-in-law Cynthia; and his cherished grandchildren: Christopher James Munguia, Victoria Nicole Martinez, Lauren Elyse Martinez, and Maximus Xavier Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cruz and Juana Minerva Martinez and four siblings.
For over two decades, Francisco worked as a truck driver for Spirit Truck Lines, a career that reflected his dedication and resilience. Outside of work, he found joy in simple pleasures—especially fixing lawn mowers and spending quality time with his grandchildren, whom he adored.
Francisco's legacy is one of quiet strength, deep love for his family, and the kind of steady presence that leaves a lasting mark on those lucky enough to have known him.
A visitation for Francisco will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, Texas 78577, followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
