Francisco Ramirez, 68, of Pharr, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Francisco was a devoted son, brother, and a man whose life revolved around the simple joys of fishing and being with his loved ones.
Born and raised in Pharr, Texas, Francisco had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found by the water, casting his line and enjoying the tranquility that came with his favorite pastime. His love for fishing was matched only by his devotion to his family, and he treasured the time spent with those closest to him. Francisco’s warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family.
Francisco is survived by his siblings: Leonor Olmos (Jose Luis), Jose S. Ramirez Jr. (Maria), Janie Montano (Victor), Jesus Ramirez (Irma), Maria Gonzalez (Isaias Jr.), Josie Contreras (Enrique), Javier Ramirez (Ernestina), and Ruben Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Santos Ramirez, and his mother, Teodora Ramirez. He is also preceded by his grandmother, Maria Hernandez Gomez, and his grandfather, Severano Hernandez.
A visitation to celebrate Francisco’s life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 122 W Hawk Ave, Pharr, TX 78577. A burial will occur Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577.
Francisco's family wishes to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. His memory will forever be cherished by those who had the honor of knowing him. May he rest in peace, reunited with those who have gone before him.
