

Irma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Surviving Irma are her children, Ida Pena; Melinda Rojas-Jones (Michael Jones); Juan Rojas and family; and Adolfo Rojas; as well as her partner, Erasmo Pena. She was also cherished by her sisters, Angelica Chapa and Juanita (Bernard) Valdez, brother Omar Chapa, her grandchildren Nicole Fuentes, Thomas Pena III, George Fuentes, Bianca Pena, and Alessandro Pena, and her great-grandchildren, Sebastian Letts, Noah Torres, and Malia Fuentes.
Irma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rogelio Rojas; her parents, Efrain Chapa and Guadalupe Hernandez; and her sisters, Alicia Gutierrez, Delia Chapa, and Lidia Lozano.
Irma loved life and filled it with joy, laughter, and adventure. She had a great passion for shopping, traveling, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Mexico was always a special place for her to visit, and she enjoyed traveling there whenever she could. One of her greatest pleasures was cooking, with enchiladas being her signature dish. Irma had a light-hearted, sometimes sarcastic sense of humor, and was often seen sitting on her porch, enjoying the simple moments in life.
She was known for her loving nature, strong spirit, and the laughter she brought to every room. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will never be forgotten.
A visitation for Irma will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 E Kuhn St, Edinburg, TX 78541. A burial will take place Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, 4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577.
