Israel married the love of his life, Norma Yolanda Gutierrez, in 1960. Together, they built a loving family and shared many cherished memories. Norma preceded him in death in 1997, but the love they shared remained an important part of Israel’s heart throughout his life.
Israel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He and Norma were blessed with three daughters and two son, who were truly the light of his eyes. Family was at the center of Israel’s life. He held traditional values close to his heart and believed deeply in the importance of family, faith, hard work, and love.
A man of strong faith in God, Israel was committed to living his life with devotion and purpose. He was a very hard worker who took pride in providing for and caring for his family. Above all, he had a golden heart—a gentle, generous, and loving spirit that touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
Israel treasured time spent with his family, especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas. He loved the warmth of gathering around the table, sharing homemade meals, laughter, stories, and the simple joys of being together. These family traditions created memories that will remain in the hearts of his loved ones for generations to come.
He also had a love for adventure. Israel enjoyed road trips, discovering new places, and spending time outdoors. He especially loved the beach and the beauty of being surrounded by nature. Whether traveling near or far, what mattered most was the experience and the people he shared it with.
Israel was a sweet and loving husband and father, but when he became a grandfather—and later a great-grandfather—his tender heart seemed to grow even bigger. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him immense joy. He was always present for their special moments and milestones, no matter the distance. Whether it meant traveling near or far, Israel made sure to be there to celebrate them, support them, and let them know just how much they meant to him. His presence at their birthdays, celebrations, accomplishments, and other important moments was one of the many ways he showed his unconditional love.
To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Grandpa was more than a beloved family member—he was a constant source of love, comfort, encouragement, and joy. The memories they made with him will be treasured forever, and the love he gave them will continue to live on through each generation.
Israel leaves behind a family who will forever carry his love, lessons, faith, and memory in their hearts. Though he is deeply missed, his legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched.
May he rest in the loving arms of God and be reunited with his beloved Norma. Until we meet again, you will forever remain in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Yolanda Arreola; a daughter, Norma Idalia Arreola; a son, Israel Armando Arreola; and two grandchildren, Sebastian and Sergio Benitez.
