It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jose Cesar Galvan, who passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 82. Jose was born on September 20, 1994, in Mercedes, Texas, and was raised in McAllen, Texas, where he spent his life building memories, raising his family, and leaving a lasting impression on the people who knew and loved him.
To know Jose was to know a man who was strong, funny, honest, and full of life. He had a special way of making ordinary moments feel extraordinary. He loved his children deeply and taught them some of life's most important lessons. He showed his children the value of hard work, the importance of honesty, and the meaning of having integrity. These were lessons he instilled in his family that will continue to live on for generations. As a father, he made life an adventure. He created memories that his children will treasure forever, from playing baseball and wrestling together to taking the family to the drive-in movies. He knew how to make things fun and how to turn simple moments into lifelong memories. Whether sharing a laugh, telling a story, or having one of his great conversations, he had a way of making those around him feel connected to him. His humor, strength, and presence made him a father who was unforgettable. Jose also had a passion for boxing. He loved the sport and had an incredible knack for predicting the winner of a match before it even began. His confidence and knowledge of boxing were part of what made him so unique, and those who shared those moments with him will always remember his predictions and the conversations that came with them.
Above all, he was a father whose love for his children was at the heart of his life. His legacy is found in the values he taught, the laughter he shared, the memories he created, and the strength he passed down to his family. Although his family must now face life without his physical presence, the lessons he taught and the love he gave will remain with them always.
Jose is lovingly remembered by his children: son Jose C Galvan Jr and his partner Lupita Cortez, daughter Blanca Galvan and her wife Melinda Galvan, son Oscar Galvan and his wife Melissa Galvan, daughter Rosa Valdez and her husband Rick Valdez. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Severiano, Kristi, Becky, Joey, Brandon, Frida, Maya, Oscar, Kimberly, Alex, Sasha, Lionzo, Eddie, and Prizela each of whom is part of the family he loved and the legacy he leaves behind.
Though saying goodbye is never easy, the memories he created will forever bring comfort to those who loved him. His laughter will be remembered and his stories will continue to be shared. He lives on in every lesson learned, every story retold, every laugh shared in his memory, and every moment his family carries forward with the strength and integrity he taught them. His life was a gift to his family, his love was a lasting blessing, and his memory will live on forever.
Rest in peace, Dad. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the lessons, and the love. You will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
