

Born and raised in Pharr, Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her life was centered around faith, family, and community. She was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where she joyfully sang in the choir and shared in many treasured moments with her lifelong friends.
Juanita found joy in the simple pleasures of life like baking and cooking meals that brought everyone together, embroidering beautiful pieces by hand, and sipping wine with her loved ones during cherished gatherings. Her laughter, hospitality, and vibrant spirit lit up every room she entered. She especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and joy.
She is survived by her children: Arthur Alexander (Margaret), David Elizondo Jr. (Mary), and Cynthia Marie Elizondo; her grandchildren: Michael Keith Elizondo, Daniel Elizondo, Gabriel Elizondo, Allyssandra Elizondo, Honorio Soto Jr. and Roxanna Marie Soto; and her beloved great-grandchildren.
Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Elizondo Sr.; her son, Brian Keith Elizondo; her grandson, Roberto Andres Salinas; and her great-granddaughters, Lucy Hope Elizondo and Claire Faith Elizondo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577. A rosary will take place at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 122 W Hawk Ave, Pharr, TX 78577, followed by burial at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens.
Juanita leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
