Marcos Montalvo

EDINBURG- Marcos Montalvo, 76, left to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his residence in Edinburg. He was born to Francisco Montalvo and Maria Elena Betancourt on April 25, 1941 in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He is now reunited with his parents, Maria Elena Betancourt Montalvo and Francisco Montalvo; his brother, Rodolfo Montalvo; sister, Juana Montalvo de Gonzalez and grandchildren, Claudia Judith and Rosa Isela E. Montalvo who have preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Irma Montalvo; their children, Norma (Oscar) Olivarez; Maricela (Ricardo Jr) Ruiz; Frank (Clemencia) Montalvo; Marcos (Claudia Diaz) Montalvo, Jr. and Jose Luis (Crystal Peña) Montalvo. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Alvaro Montalvo and grandchildren; Clarissa Olivarez, Marcos Olivarez, Ricardo Ruiz, III, Isaac Ruiz, Isela Ruiz, Irma Montalvo, Fernanda Montalvo, Francisco Montalvo Jr., Victoria Montalvo, Breana Montalvo, Johnathan Diaz, Jayden Montalvo and Julian Montalvo. Having the distingued honor of serving as pallbearers are: Frank Montalvo, Marcos Montalvo, Jr., Jose Luis Montalvo, Ricardo Ruiz, Jr., Oscar Olivarez and Ricardo Ruiz, III. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 2 pm to 9 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 10 am at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palm Valley Funeral Home of Pharr.
