

Born in Donna, Texas, he was a lifetime resident of Pharr, Texas. Mario married the love of his life on August 8, 1966, Isabel and together they had a beautiful family with two children. Mr. Lizcano was a family oriented man who dedicated his life to his family and church. He was a strong supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and our local PSJA district teams. While raising his children, Mr. Lizcano and his wife enjoyed road trips and outdoors adventures. His unique personality and great sense of humor is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Lizcano was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo and Hortencia Lizcano; his three brothers, Rodolfo Lizcano Jr., Roel Lizcano Sr., Ruben Lizcano Sr.; and two sisters, Alicia Banda and Rosalva Lopez.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years of marriage, Isabel Lizcano; his two children, Rachel (Charlie) Guerra, Mario (Deanna) Lizcano Jr.; his three granddaughters, Marlee Rennae Lizcano (Jerry Lu), Monica (Angel) Cardenas, Marissa Guerra (Eric Gomez); two great-grandsons, Angel and Andres Cardenas; his two brothers, Rene Lizcano, Rev. Ramiro Lizcano; and his two sisters, Rachel Lizcano, Ruth Lizcano; and numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held from 3 pm to 9 pm, with a 6 pm prayer service on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. A christian service will take place at 9 am on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Pallbearers will be: Jesse Saldaña, Robert Lizcano, Frank Lopez, Ramiro Lizcano Jr., Ruben Lizcano Jr., and Roy Lizcano.
Honorary pallbearers will be Angel Cardenas and Eric Gomez.
