Born on January 16, 1979, Michael was a beloved and cherished presence whose gentle spirit and kind-hearted way of moving through the world left a lasting imprint on those who knew him. A devoted and faithful man, he carried himself with quiet resilience, meeting life with a thoughtful steadiness and a compassionate regard for others that was felt more often than it was spoken.
His generosity was not measured in grand gestures, but in the consistent warmth of his care and the sincere attention he gave to the people around him.
Michael was deeply loved and cared for by his mother and by his caring stepfather, who has always considered him his own son. Throughout the years, he showed Michael the care, compassion, and unconditional love of a father.
His loving mother was always by his side, making him her priority and surrounding him with a unique love that only a mother can give. He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Soto Jr. and his brother, Edward Rocky Hernandez; his loving maternal grandmother, Elida Buenrostro; his loving maternal grandfather, Rene Buenrostro his uncles, Rene Buenrostro and Xavier Buenrostro.
Michael is survived by his only beloved son, Michael Alex Soto II; his high school sweet-heart, partner, and mother of his loving child, Laura Perez; his loving and caring mother, Alessandra Ella Hernandez; his step-dad, Abran Garcia-Villalobos; his step-mom, Suzanne Soto; his siblings, Emily (Armando) Villalobos-Garza, Christopher Edward (Jennifer) Hernandez, Krystal Deborah (Brett) Hernandez-Knaver, Kassandra Pricilla Hernandez, Alexxis Krystyna Hernandez, Victoria Kandy Hernandez, Alex Ray Soto; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, counsins, and extended family members with a loving heart.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 11 pm, with a 7 pm rosary, on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Visitation will resume at 8:15 am, with a catholic service at 10 am, on Friday, October 0, 2026, at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
