Born in Nuevo Leon, and raised Robstown, Texas; She lived most of her life in California and her latest years in Pharr, TX. Mrs. Benavides was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was extremely hard worker. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home, and gambling "love the maquinitas".
Her unique tone of voice is going to live forever in the memories of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ireneo Benavides.
Olaya is survived by her four children, Gerardo (Rosa) Benavides, Thelma Benavides, Raul (Noelia) Benavides, Noel Benavides; she is survived by five grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Jerrell, Alynna, and Karizma; numerous extended family.
