He is preceded in death by his wife, Eulalia Morales Zamarripa, and son Ricardo Zamarripa.
Mr. Zamarripa was employed as supervisor for the Hidalgo County Motor Vehicle Department for 43 years. After retiring in 2001 he spent his days enjoying family, music, and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Raul Zamarripa Jr (Norma) Zamarripa and Cynthia Z. Salazar (Jose G. Salazar Jr). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Randy Zamarripa, Zoey Rae Zamarripa Samantha Salazar, Isabella Salazar, and Lali Salazar; his siblings Roberto Zamarripa (Eva Zamarripa), Ernesto Zamarripa (Ana Zamarripa), Rosita Zamarripa, Ruben Zamarripa, and Erasmo Zamarripa (Linda Zamarripa). He was a loving husband, father, and Grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr on Wednesday, February 4, 2020. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas.
