Refugio was born into a loving family and will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially camping, and cherished every moment spent with friends and family. Known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, Refugio touched the lives of many with his kindness and compassion.
He is survived by his son, Gavin J. Medrano; his siblings Lydia Villa, Fidel Medrano Jr., Thomas Medrano, and Christina Sifuentes. Refugio was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel Medrano Sr. and Teresa L. Medrano, and his sister Sylvia Martinez.
A memorial service to honor Refugio’s life will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley, located at 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX 78577.
Refugio will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
