Reynaldo Sanchez

Reynaldo grew up in McAllen, Texas and later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he married the love of his life, Noelia Chavarria, on October 3, 1960. Together, they built a strong and loving family rooted in faith, hard work, and generosity.

In 1975, Reynaldo and Noelia returned to the Rio Grande Valley, settling in Pharr, Texas, where Reynaldo established his own construction company. Through his work, he built and remodeled homes, businesses, and several places of worship, leaving a lasting mark on the community he cherished. He later served as Construction Director for PSJA ISD, dedicating 13 years to improving school facilities and supporting the district’s growth.

Reynaldo was known for his unwavering work ethic, his kindness, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He devoted countless hours to community fundraising, especially through barbecue plate sales, and personally donated from his own funds for various needy causes. His generosity and leadership brought people together for meaningful causes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Margarita Puentes and Rodrigo Sanchez Sr., and his brother, Calistro Puentes. He is survived by his brother, Rodrigo Sanchez Jr.

Reynaldo leaves behind his beloved wife of 66 years, Noelia Chavarria Sanchez, and their four children:

· Reynaldo Sanchez Jr.

· William Sanchez

· Christina S. Torres (Tony)

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom were his pride and joy.

Reynaldo’s legacy lives on through the family he loved, the community he served, and the countless lives he touched with his generosity, craftsmanship, and faith.
