Ruperto Reyes Rodriguez, 80, went home to our Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020, in Houston, TX. He was the last of Manuel and Bengina’s thirteen children to join them in heaven.

Ruperto married the love of his life in 1963, Beatriz and together they formed a beautiful loving family. Mr. Rodriguez was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He relished family gatherings and enjoyed the holiday of Easter. For many years, he would take the family to spend it with relatives at the Rodriguez Bros. Inc. Ranch. Ruperto was a man of God, and he instilled the value of God first and family second to his sons and daughters. He taught his daughters to be strong and independent, because in this life you need to be prepared to be on your own. He inspired his sons to be hard workers, good providers, and to be dedicated men to their family. He was a great advisor and always willing to help. He encouraged family unity and commanded respect for the elders. Mr. Rodriguez is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.

-We are going to miss you dearly! –Until we meet again, you will always be in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Dolores Garcia and Ana Luisa Rodriguez.

Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his loving wife of 57 yrs. of marriage, Beatriz Rodriguez; six children, Consuelo (Carlos) Angulo, Gabriela Maldonado, Ruperto Martin (Elsa) Rodriguez, Juan Manuel (Nadia) Rodriguez, Noel (Annamarie) Rodriguez, Abel Rodriguez; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous extended family.

Due to the pandemic everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Please practice air hugs and loving hand waves with the family.

I would like to extend my condolences to the Rodriguez family..I have so many good memories of him. My best memories are the time we would sit outside on the swing and just talk about everything , he was always so understanding and always gave the best advise..he was a wonderful grandfather to Frankie and Brianna as well as to all of his kids and grandkids..he will be greatly missed.. He indeed did form a strong family and with God's help they will continue to follow in his steps and prosper .
