Teresa De Jesus Cantu

Teresa was born April 28, 1931, to the late Manuela and Pablo Cantu.

She was a loving and caring person, with a gold heart. She enjoyed family gatherings, playing chalupa, hearing music like guapangos and polcas, and eating sweets. Ms. Cantu was a woman of great faith and constantly prayed all of the time.

Ms. Cantu is preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Oscar) Zarco; three grandchildren, Stephan, Alexa, and Christian Martinez; two siblings, Deacon Agapito (Socorro) Cantu and Dominga Rangel.

A visitation for Teresa will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. A funeral mass will occur at 12 noon on Saturday, January 9, 2021, at St. Judes Catholic Church in Pharr, Texas. The burial will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas.

Due to the pandemic everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Funeral services are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr.
