Throughout her life, Yolanda carried herself with steady devotion and a faithful spirit that shaped the way she cared for others and met each day. She was beloved for her kind heart, her generous nature, and the quiet selflessness that so often placed the needs of family, friends, and community before her own.
A hard-working educator, Yolanda served as an elementary school teacher for 30 years with PSJA, teaching at Ford Elementary and Pharr Elementary. Her commitment to her students and her calling reflected a life grounded in service, patience, and purpose—work that left a lasting imprint on countless young lives.

At home, Yolanda expressed care in the most welcoming of ways—through baking and cooking that brought people together. She was known for making Easter cupcakes, Christmas cookies, and carrot cake, sharing warmth and generosity through the simple, meaningful traditions that families cherish and remember.
