Yolanda Castro Garza, 75, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020.

Born in Mexico, she lived all of her life in San Juan. Yolanda was a person full of kindness, joy, happiness, and full of life. No matter the circumstances she would always find a positive outlook. Her motivation in life were her children, family, and religion; she was a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Ms. Garza always had many dichos; her family will always remember each of them, however, her words were always “Como dice el dicho”. Yolanda’s wise words of advice will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children, Gerardo, Javier, Cesar, and Diana Garza; and seven grandchildren.

My dear friend and comadre you will be missed. Although many miles separated us you were never forgotten. I have vivid memories of our teenage years when you were living with my mother and I while you attended school. I loved to go stay at your house in Reynosa on weekends because your mom would make us homemade mole. Melva and I would even put it on eggs for breakfast. Rest in peace my beloved friend and may God's perpetual light shine upon you. Love you.
