EDCOUCH- Zeferino R. Castro, 78, left to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his residence in Edcouch. He was born to Melquiades & Eduarda Castro on September 26, 1939 in Ocampo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Juana Consuelo Castro and their children: Maria Consuelo (Javier) Flores, Angel Zeferino (Kim) Castro, Maria Teresa (Saul) Flores, Roel (Cindy) Castro, Sarita (Luis) Mireles, Olga Castro, Esthela (Alfredo) Lopez, Ruth (Jesse) Pecina and Raul Castro. He will also be greatly missed by 27 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Marina Garza and Plutarco Castro. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 3 pm to 9 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Palm Valley Funeral Home in Pharr. Interment will follow at 12 pm at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palm Valley Funeral Home of Pharr.
