
Albert L. Williams, Jr., age 74, resident of Smiths Station, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House. Memorial services will be held at Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama on Tuesday, January 5, 2016, 11 a.m. with Reverend Paul Blair officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams, son of the late Albert L. Williams and Mable Catherine Shultz Williams, was born January 14, 1941 in Columbus. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and was retired from Rambo Heating and Air, where he had worked faithfully there and in the heating and air industry for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Williams of Smiths Station, Alabama; one daughter, Tina Dempsey and her husband James of LaGrange, Georgia; one son, Albert L. "Bubba" Williams III and his wife Marie of Smiths Station, Alabama; two sisters, Beverly Patterson of Mason City, Iowa and Martha Dupriest and her husband Reggie of Hamilton, Georgia; one brother, Raymond Williams and his wife Patsy of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; three grandchildren, Logan Dempsey and his wife Beka of Columbia, South Carolina, Carson Dempsey of LaGrange, Georgia, and Avery Williams of Smiths Station, Alabama; many other relatives and friends.
