Alma Mae Woods, 90 of Cusseta, Georgia died Friday July 28, 2017 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 29, 2017 in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City, AL with Pastor Richard Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 3:00pm prior to the service.
Mrs. Woods was born June 30, 1927 in Moffett County, Colorado; daughter of the late Joseph and Mae Harrington Phillipson. She was retired from The Pumpkin Patch Day Care in Columbus, GA and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary of Columbus.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick William Woods, Sr. and her daughter, Dianna White.
Survivors include her children, Frederick Woods, Jr., Anna Fink, Donald Woods, Stephen Woods, Penny Wright, David Woods, Robert Woods and Kay Watts; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and one great great great grandchild.
