on February 23, 1966 in Columbus, Georgia to Carrie and Jerry Fillingim.
Bobby had a kind and charismatic soul. In his early years, he enjoyed boat riding, hunting, camping,
swimming, and being outside. At around 19 years old, he started his career as a mechanic and fulfilled
that occupation his whole life. Later in his life, Bobby enjoyed all types of guns, target practicing,
watching The History Channel, messing around outside and in his shop, and supporting the Auburn
Tigers. A Christian, he was a member of Concord Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother; Carrie Fillingim, his brother; Gary Fillingim (Carol), his niece; Katie Fillingim-
Won, and his nephews; Brent Wood and TJ Wood. He is preceded in death by his father; Jerry Fillingim.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Striffler Hamby Mortuary, 3770 US-431, Phenix City, AL 36868.
